SERUM The Documentary is a gripping documentary that revisits the untold story of a project that once showed immense promise but was left incomplete. Originally completing production in 2013, Serum was never finished, leaving behind only fragments of raw footage and unanswered questions. We sat down with award-winning writer and director Daniel J. Pico. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Daniel has been telling stories through film since the age of eight. He has directed two theatrically released feature films-Common Senses and Farewell Darkness, the latter earning multiple Best Feature Film awards on the international festival circuit. His body of work includes over 85 short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries, as well as 11 episodes of various popular TV and web series. Daniel is also the founder of Pico Blvd Entertainment, a production company dedicated to independent cinema. His recent short film Reasonable Doubt debuted at the Marché du Film at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
